What our customers say

The galley game onboard has stepped up. Cannot find any negatives to lose gas - but lots of positives. The oven is awesome! Heats up fast, minimal heat leakage and works as any high quality kitchen appliance. If you have the battery capacity this one should be a no brainer.

What a brilliant bit of kit you have produced. The build quality and performance of my Ocean Chef 3 Induction stove makes cooking a joy.

We spent our first Christmas on the road travelling through Morocco. I am delighted with the oven and what it can do. Thanks goodness I didn't go with a microwave. Great product and with the trend in overlanding to lose gas I wish you the utmost success for the coming years. road

The Levante 2 is a star. Living aboard our Malö 50 built 1973 your cooker didn't just improve our living. This is a new level of independence altogether.
Frank & Judith, Germany, Levante 2 Induction cooker
Marine Customer
At first glance and first use, our new induction cooker is unsurpassed. Everything works very correctly and is good quality. Previously, we had an induction from an Italian manufacturer (Twice there was a short circuit, and the oven did not heat up enough). We spend a lot of time on the boat (a Garcia 52), so safety is very important.
Viktoriya, Greece, OceanChef Induction cooker

Our new cooker is excellent, a huge improvement over the Force 10 gas appliance - the efficiency, especially the oven is so much better.
Arno L., Netherlands, OceanChef 3 Induction cooker
Marine Customer
Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase. It has worked perfectly from the start and provided us with many great meals this season. The performance has been great. Especially the efficiency of the induction stove. The oven efficiency is still very good, but obviously takes a bit more energy to run. The design is also beautiful.

We are absolutely delighted with the performance, build quality, features and ease of use of the stove. Likewise, the support service we received has been excellent ranging from our first enquiry through to delivery abroad and resolving some minor post sales issues. In almost 50 years of yachting in all sorts of boats from 16ft to 60ft the GN Espace is by a very wide margin the best stove I have ever used and our research prior to buying it didn’t reveal any other stove that remotely matched the GN Espace for build quality. Whilst the entire stove is excellent, the grill feature is perhaps the most noteworthy. It is the first time we have owned a boat stove where the grill provides uniform heat across the entire grill pan area.

We love our new stove and are extremely satisfied. We live aboard full time and use it every day. The performance is great, particularly the ability to run the stove burners on low heat.
Greg J., USA, OceanChef 3 LPG cooker

Not only does the oven now get hotter, the gas lasts twice as long, but it also lights instantly now too! We'd definitely buy your oven for our next boat. Your service has been great.

I am happy to confirm that my GN Espace cooker certainly fullfills my expectations. It is easy to use and really contributes to a nice atmosphere in the cooking department of my Hallberg-Rassy 64. Thank you!

The Levante cooker is now fully installed and working. It looks great and is a big improvement on our old model.

The burners are excellent, I really like the grill and it's really easy to clean. This is a world away from the old one and a real oven is a great luxury.

Can I buy through a distributor?

Due to the specialised nature of our products, we typically avoid working through distributors or retailers. Instead, we prefer direct engagement with our customers, as we believe it allows us to provide a superior service. However, we do offer worldwide delivery and frequently sell to all corners of the globe.

What is the expected delivery timeframe for my product?

As we hand-build our cookers and ovens to order, please allow 5-6 weeks for production and delivery of your purchase. For accessories only, please allow 2 weeks. Rest assured, we'll keep you informed about the timeframes throughout the process.

What is the process for delivery in the UK?
  • The product is boxed and palletised.
  • We utilize reputable and reliable delivery services throughout the UK, delivering to the address of your choice.
  • Delivery costs are charged as an additional fee. Alternatively, you can arrange to collect the product from our premises. We would be delighted to welcome you and provide a tour, demonstrating firsthand how we build our cookers.
What is the process for delivering outside of the UK?

We offer worldwide delivery and support, reaching clients across the globe, even in the most remote islands, through a reliable network of logistics companies. Please reach out to us to discover how we can assist you.

The general process for delivery outside of the UK is as follows:

  • Products are sold to you DAP, excluding UK VAT, so you will need to pay VAT at your local rate upon arrival in your country.
  • We will provide you with a waybill/ reference number for tracking purposes from the start of the delivery.
  • Upon arrival, the carriers will contact you to arrange payment of any VAT charges/ local taxes.
  • We strongly recommend tracking your consignment and, upon its arrival at the customs border, promptly contacting the carriers to arrange the necessary VAT payment. This proactive approach helps ensure smooth customs clearance and timely delivery to your final destination.
How does the importation process work and will I need to pay any import duties and value-added tax (VAT)?

All our goods are shipped directly from the UK, and since we invoice everything exclusive of UK VAT, the only importation charges you would typically incur are the local market VAT equivalent upon importing your goods. There are no other import duties to pay besides the VAT. The carriers we use will inform you of the VAT amount to be paid once your consignment arrives at the final border/Customs. Once this payment is settled, the goods can be customs cleared for onward delivery.

Additionally, we strongly advise customers to proactively contact the carriers to promptly pay the VAT due upon importation. This proactive step can save a significant amount of time and ensure a smooth Customs clearance and quicker onward delivery. Please note that some states may require this process to be handled by a local Customs Broker. Please inquire with your own local import authority if this is required.

Product Questions

What gas type do your appliances use?

Our LPG cookers work with Propane, Butane, and Campingaz. However, you will need to ensure you have the correct gas regulator for the type of gas you choose to use.

What energy system do your electric products use?

All of our induction/electric appliances work on a 230v system. However, as all our induction cookers and hobs are 50/60Hz compatible without modification, should you wish to run these 230v appliances on a 110/120v electrical system, all you will require in addition, is a step-up auto transformer. We recommend a Victron unit for this purpose.

How much energy do your appliances use?

All of our products have been designed with efficiency in mind.

  • Our LPG cookers are extremely economical in their gas usage due to the high-quality components that we use and the excellent insulation properties of our ovens.
  • Our induction/electric appliances are equipped with smart management systems, to ensure minimum energy usage.  Please refer to the ‘real world’ electrical consumption calculations for your chosen induction/electric product in the brochure, or ask our team for this.
What is the warranty policy for your products?

All of our GN Espace cookers and ovens come with a 2-year warranty.

Installation Process

Will I need any special adapters to connect to an American LPG system?

For the majority of American gas pipe work on boats, you will need to adapt to an NPT thread and then to a flare. Any US marine gas engineer should ordinarily carry or be able to acquire the relevant adapter to fit our universal ½ BSP female tapered fitting and also to suit the diameter of your on-board gas pipe work.

How can I migrate to an electric only system on board?

We understand the move to electric can seem daunting, but it's a worthwhile process to remove gas from your vehicle or boat, giving you more freedom and flexibility. For advice on starting the transfer and migrating to a new system, visit victronenergy.com

How do I install your cooker/ oven to my boat or vehicle?

We provide installation instructions for all of our appliances.

For Electric: If you are purchasing an induction or electric cooker, these come with a 6mm cable and must be hardwired into your yacht's or campervan's electrical circuit.

For Gas: If you are purchasing an LPG appliance, we recommend using a registered professional to install your new cooker.

Troubleshooting

What do I do if the LPG oven is not getting hot enough and taking too long to cook?

If the LPG hob is working correctly, but the oven is not getting hot enough, and so giving poor cooking performance, we suggest the following.

We factory test each oven and thermostat to ensure they reach the correct working temperature. The oven's gas system is a basic and very reliable design. Although there is a chance that the thermostat can fail, our experience shows that any drop in performance is usually due to a lack of gas feeding the system.

This may be caused by one of the following:

  1. An empty gas bottle
  2. A blockage or leak in the gas supply pipe
  3. A faulty gas regulator

Our experience has also taught us that quite often, the issue is caused by a faulty gas regulator, which is partially blocked and does not supply the stove—and especially the grill—with enough gas to burn. Replacing the gas regulator usually solves the problem. Ensure that it is the correct regulator for the gas type and, importantly, have the gas pressure at the cooker checked.

The correct LPG gas regulator pressures are:

  • CAT I3+ (28-30/37)
    • Butane (G30) 28-30 mbar
    • Propane (G31) 37 mbar
  • CAT I3B/P(30)
    • Butane (G30) 30 mbar
    • Propane (G31) 30 mbar
What do I do if the gas burners are not staying lit?

Try these three quick fixes:

  1. Try cleaning the brass thermocouple that protrudes into the flame. You can use a toothbrush or some wool to do this.
    • Hob: Remove the burner cap and flame spreader to access the thermocouple.
    • Oven: The thermocouple is horizontally mounted on the right side of the burner box at the back of the oven.
    • Grill/Broiler: The thermocouple protrudes from the left-hand side of the cavity.
  1. If the first step doesn't help, try pushing the thermoprobe upwards so that it sits closer to the flame.
  2. Our experience has also taught us that quite often the issue is caused by a faulty gas regulator, which is partially blocked and does not supply the stove—and especially the grill—with enough gas to burn. Replacing the gas regulator usually solves the problem.

Ensure that it is the correct regulator for the gas type and, importantly, have the gas pressure at the cooker checked.

The correct LPG gas regulator pressures are:

  • CAT I3+ (28-30/37)
    • Butane (G30): 28-30 mbar
    • Propane (G31): 37 mbar
  • CAT I3B/P(30)
    • Butane (G30): 30 mbar
    • Propane (G31): 30 mbar
What is the best way to maintain my stainless steel cooker?

Maintaining your stainless steel cooker is essential to keeping it looking great and functioning properly.

Here are some tips to help you maintain your stainless steel products and keep them looking great for years to come, and avoid rust:

  • Regular Cleaning: Clean the cooker regularly with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads that could scratch the surface. If you do use any type of scourer, only use a light one and always go with and not against the grain of the stainless steel.
  • Dry Thoroughly: After cleaning, make sure to dry the cooker thoroughly to prevent water spots and stains from forming, especially if salty water has touched it.
  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or ammonia-based cleaners on your stainless steel cooker as they can damage the surface.
  • Remove Burnt-on Residue: If there is burnt-on residue or stubborn stains, you can use a mixture of baking soda and water to create a paste. Apply the paste to the affected area, let it sit for a few minutes, and then rub gently with a soft cloth or sponge and always go with and not against the grain of the stainless steel. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Follow Grain Direction: When cleaning or wiping down the cooker, always wipe in the direction of the grain of the stainless steel to avoid scratching the surfae
  • Handle with Care: Be careful when using utensils or pots and pans on the cooker surface to avoid scratching or damaging the stainless steel.
  • Polish Occasionally: For extra shine, you can polish your stainless steel cooker with a soft cloth and a small amount of baby oil. Simply apply a small amount to the cloth and buff the surface in circular motions.
  • Use Stainless Steel Cleaner:  Stainless-steel products can on occasion be subject to rust spotting without any intervention, especially when in a salty environment. If you do experience any rust spotting, we have found that the best product to use is Aalco’s Innosoft B570 deep cleaner or Flitz (if you are in the USA), which can either be found in good chandlery stores or probably better ordered online. In the rare event that rust spots do appear, it will remove these and also leave a protective layer on the surface of your cooker to help prevent any rust spots from coming back. In such circumstances, we advise treating all external cooker panels with this product.
