The general process for delivery outside of the UK is as follows:
- Products are sold to you DAP, excluding UK VAT, so you will need to pay VAT at your local rate upon arrival in your country.
- We will provide you with a waybill/ reference number for tracking purposes from the start of the delivery.
- Upon arrival, the carriers will contact you to arrange payment of any VAT charges/ local taxes.
- We strongly recommend tracking your consignment and, upon its arrival at the customs border, promptly contacting the carriers to arrange the necessary VAT payment. This proactive approach helps ensure smooth customs clearance and timely delivery to your final destination.
All our goods are shipped directly from the UK, and since we invoice everything exclusive of UK VAT, the only importation charges you would typically incur are the local market VAT equivalent upon importing your goods. There are no other import duties to pay besides the VAT. The carriers we use will inform you of the VAT amount to be paid once your consignment arrives at the final border/Customs. Once this payment is settled, the goods can be customs cleared for onward delivery.
Additionally, we strongly advise customers to proactively contact the carriers to promptly pay the VAT due upon importation. This proactive step can save a significant amount of time and ensure a smooth Customs clearance and quicker onward delivery. Please note that some states may require this process to be handled by a local Customs Broker. Please inquire with your own local import authority if this is required.

Our LPG cookers work with Propane, Butane, and Campingaz. However, you will need to ensure you have the correct gas regulator for the type of gas you choose to use.
All of our induction/electric appliances work on a 230v system. However, as all our induction cookers and hobs are 50/60Hz compatible without modification, should you wish to run these 230v appliances on a 110/120v electrical system, all you will require in addition, is a step-up auto transformer. We recommend a Victron unit for this purpose.
All of our products have been designed with efficiency in mind.
- Our LPG cookers are extremely economical in their gas usage due to the high-quality components that we use and the excellent insulation properties of our ovens.
- Our induction/electric appliances are equipped with smart management systems, to ensure minimum energy usage. Please refer to the ‘real world’ electrical consumption calculations for your chosen induction/electric product in the brochure, or ask our team for this.
All of our GN Espace cookers and ovens come with a 2-year warranty.
Installation Process
For the majority of American gas pipe work on boats, you will need to adapt to an NPT thread and then to a flare. Any US marine gas engineer should ordinarily carry or be able to acquire the relevant adapter to fit our universal ½ BSP female tapered fitting and also to suit the diameter of your on-board gas pipe work.
We understand the move to electric can seem daunting, but it's a worthwhile process to remove gas from your vehicle or boat, giving you more freedom and flexibility. For advice on starting the transfer and migrating to a new system, visit victronenergy.com
We provide installation instructions for all of our appliances.
For Electric: If you are purchasing an induction or electric cooker, these come with a 6mm cable and must be hardwired into your yacht's or campervan's electrical circuit.
For Gas: If you are purchasing an LPG appliance, we recommend using a registered professional to install your new cooker.
All of our appliances come with a mounting or gimballing kit for installation, please tell us which you need upon purchasing.
Troubleshooting
If the LPG hob is working correctly, but the oven is not getting hot enough, and so giving poor cooking performance, we suggest the following.
We factory test each oven and thermostat to ensure they reach the correct working temperature. The oven's gas system is a basic and very reliable design. Although there is a chance that the thermostat can fail, our experience shows that any drop in performance is usually due to a lack of gas feeding the system.
This may be caused by one of the following:
- An empty gas bottle
- A blockage or leak in the gas supply pipe
- A faulty gas regulator
Our experience has also taught us that quite often, the issue is caused by a faulty gas regulator, which is partially blocked and does not supply the stove—and especially the grill—with enough gas to burn. Replacing the gas regulator usually solves the problem. Ensure that it is the correct regulator for the gas type and, importantly, have the gas pressure at the cooker checked.
The correct LPG gas regulator pressures are:
- CAT I3+ (28-30/37)
- Butane (G30) 28-30 mbar
- Propane (G31) 37 mbar
- CAT I3B/P(30)
- Butane (G30) 30 mbar
- Propane (G31) 30 mbar
Try these three quick fixes:
- Try cleaning the brass thermocouple that protrudes into the flame. You can use a toothbrush or some wool to do this.
-
- Hob: Remove the burner cap and flame spreader to access the thermocouple.
- Oven: The thermocouple is horizontally mounted on the right side of the burner box at the back of the oven.
- Grill/Broiler: The thermocouple protrudes from the left-hand side of the cavity.
- If the first step doesn't help, try pushing the thermoprobe upwards so that it sits closer to the flame.

Maintaining your stainless steel cooker is essential to keeping it looking great and functioning properly.
Here are some tips to help you maintain your stainless steel products and keep them looking great for years to come, and avoid rust:
- Regular Cleaning: Clean the cooker regularly with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads that could scratch the surface. If you do use any type of scourer, only use a light one and always go with and not against the grain of the stainless steel.
- Dry Thoroughly: After cleaning, make sure to dry the cooker thoroughly to prevent water spots and stains from forming, especially if salty water has touched it.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or ammonia-based cleaners on your stainless steel cooker as they can damage the surface.
- Remove Burnt-on Residue: If there is burnt-on residue or stubborn stains, you can use a mixture of baking soda and water to create a paste. Apply the paste to the affected area, let it sit for a few minutes, and then rub gently with a soft cloth or sponge and always go with and not against the grain of the stainless steel. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Follow Grain Direction: When cleaning or wiping down the cooker, always wipe in the direction of the grain of the stainless steel to avoid scratching the surfae
- Handle with Care: Be careful when using utensils or pots and pans on the cooker surface to avoid scratching or damaging the stainless steel.
- Polish Occasionally: For extra shine, you can polish your stainless steel cooker with a soft cloth and a small amount of baby oil. Simply apply a small amount to the cloth and buff the surface in circular motions.
- Use Stainless Steel Cleaner: Stainless-steel products can on occasion be subject to rust spotting without any intervention, especially when in a salty environment. If you do experience any rust spotting, we have found that the best product to use is Aalco’s Innosoft B570 deep cleaner or Flitz (if you are in the USA), which can either be found in good chandlery stores or probably better ordered online. In the rare event that rust spots do appear, it will remove these and also leave a protective layer on the surface of your cooker to help prevent any rust spots from coming back. In such circumstances, we advise treating all external cooker panels with this product.
We prioritise top-quality components and materials for our products, but parts may need replacing over time. To order spare parts, email customersupport@gn-espace.com, and our team will assist you with ordering and delivery. If you have an LPG cooker, we also offer an LPG spare parts kit.
