We are always pleased when a customer comes back to us for a new cooker after getting many years of good service from their previous one. Especially when it’s on board a beautiful yacht like the Scillonian Pilot Cutter Amelie Rose. Launched in 2009 Amelie Rose is a replica 19th century Isles of Scilly Pilot Cutter, and custom designed for charter work.
Owner/skipper Nic Beck chose her second GN Espace cooker when she ordered our Levante 3 this season, after 13 years of happy service and extensive use from the previous one, also a Levante. The GN Espace Levante 3, an LPG cooker, is compact in size but big on cooking capacity, and an ideal match for cruising yachts up to 45ft. The hob, thermostatic oven and full-width grill all give excellent performance and use very little gas. As well as the three-burner version used on Amelie Rose a two-burner version is also available.
Amelie Rose takes up to six guests for overnight charters and twelve for day trips. The cruising grounds are varied, stretching along the UK’s south coast from the Solent to the Scilly Isles off the tip of Cornwall. Because of her elegance and traditional looks Amelie Rose is well recognised wherever she goes and her voyages are followed closely by a band of enthusiasts. She can be found in scenic anchorages or taking part in festivals such as the Fetes Maritime in Douarnenez, where she will be crewed by guests for a fortnight in July 2022. – ends –
