New HE102 3-Zone Built-in Induction Hob from GN Espace for inland waterway vessels

HE 102 insitu for website

Specialist galley manufacturer GN Espace has added a new electric induction hob, the HE102 3-zone induction hob to its high quality range of cookers and galley equipment. The HE102 is an ultra-modern marine hob with touch controls, primarily aimed at river boats, barges and other vessels which spend their lives on inland waterways.  Unlike sea-going cookers, no sea-rails are necessary to hold pots in place, allowing the HE102 to be seamlessly integrated into the simplest or most stylish onboard galley.

The dimensions of the 50cm wide HE102 are compatible with the standard sized marine gas hobs already carried on a great majority of inland vessels, so it can be retro-fitted with almost no reworking of existing worktops.  The three induction zones can be adapted by bridging two into one ‘octa’ zone leaving a further 145mm diameter zone. Weighing only 7kg the HE102 isn’t going to slow you down and it’s packed with safety features including residual heat warning, pot detection, and a child lock system.

The HE102’s integrated management system is designed for optimum performance while conserving consumption.  The hob is easy to clean and has a cooking timer for each zone.

The hob can optionally be fitted together with GN Espace’s compact BI oven.  Both consume low power, a real benefit for vessels in areas where shore power is limited, or when batteries can’t be recharged sufficiently to run the standard domestic electric hob and oven often used on canal vessels.

One of the first GN Espace HE102 hobs to be supplied is to a French hotel barge whose owner is finding the lower power consumption a real boost on the French canal network where power supply can be limited.
